As more and more families today are turning to their local schools, churches, and charities for assistance in meeting their daily necessities, the amount of organizations that are available to help them are instantaneously deteriorating.

The Thomas Promise,Non Profit Organization based in Zephyrhills, FL, hired a staff to pound the pavement to find out how big of a need there really was in our community. We attended many emotional meetings with Teachers at all 15 schools in both Dade City and Zephyrhills. Our staff sat bewildered, listening to stories of countless homeless children, children who's only meals come from their school cafeterias, and children who have to go to school without warm clothing in the winter. These Teachers not only keep a constant close eye on their students educational progress at school, and their “quality of life” progress at home, but they also voluntarily donate money from their paychecks to assist with helping to provide for the needs of these disadvantaged youth as well.

How we meet the needs~ Our communities business owners also feel the devastating punch of todays economic crisis. The Thomas Promise wanted to also offer an opportunity to help these local business owners gain more traffic for their business, and they did so by starting a company called Town Ark, Inc. Town Ark, Inc. is a web based business directory that advertises businesses that are only located in Zephyrhills and Dade City, FL. The Website also offers a wide variety of local event listings and coupons. Town Ark, Inc. charges a small monthly donation of $50.00 for advertisement space on www.townark.com.

Exactly 100% of the money that local business owners pay to Town Ark Inc. for their monthly advertising is given directly to The Thomas Promise, which is then immediately filtered out into our local community and used specifically to help children in need.

Our Staff & Our Hearts~ Our Staff here at The Thomas Promise is made up of people who have been in hard knock situations throughout our lives. We have first hand experience of what it is like to be a family or a child “in need”. Some of us have even experienced what it is like to be homeless in the past. We understand how stressful it is to have the bills piling up and sometimes not having enough left over to provide just even the basic necessities that our children require, let alone any of the extras. Our staff members understand that sometimes pride gets in the way of asking for help, but when it comes to your children nothing should stand in the way to help provide a better quality of life for them.
