The Thomas Promise Story
When Brooke Thomas saw some of her 1st grade classmates go hungry, she would give them her lunch money. When she asked her mom for more money her mom asked, "why?" Brooke's answer came from the heart – She just wanted to help. Out of Brooke's compassion rose the Thomas Promise Foundation. Thomas Promise provides backpacks full of food complete with 6 meals and snacks for under privileged children in Pasco County. The meals help feed children through the weekend when they would otherwise go without. Today 25 Pasco schools and over 1,400 children benefit from this program. Now 15 years old, Brooke volunteers at the food pantry daily and inspires her classmates to do the same. To the world she might just be another kid but to us she is a hero.
